Business representatives operating in Brovary do not support the initiative of some MPs to change the name of the city to Brovari. In particular, the team of Vivo-Active LLC is against it. This is stated in the response of the company, which specializes in the production of starter cultures for fermented milk products, to a request by UNN.
"The staff of Vivo-Active LLC does not support the renaming of Brovary to Brovari," the response reads.
The company noted that if the name of the city is changed, they will have to face additional financial costs.
In addition, during a full-scale Russian invasion, government officials must deal with more pressing issues.
"Additional financial expenses will have a negative impact on the performance of our company, whose revenue has decreased by 50% since 2022.
We believe that in the context of a full-scale Russian invasion of our territory, there are more important issues for the MPs and the city authorities of Brovary to address," the company added.

Deputies of the Brovary City Council, whom UNN spoke to, also oppose the initiative of a group of MPs led by a representative of the Golos faction, Roman Lozynsky, who registered a resolution in the Verkhovna Rada to rename Brovary to Brovarі.
MP Oleksandr Kashtaniuk believes that there are no grounds for renaming the city of Brovary to Brovarі. The arguments given by the MPs who authored the resolution are pulled out of thin air.
His colleague Lidia Senko notesthat it is not appropriate to raise the issue of renaming cities now. All efforts should be directed to supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And only after the victory will we deal with the names of settlements.
MP Ihor Kravtsov argues that the renaming will create additional difficulties for the heads of some municipal institutions and non-profit enterprises. Some medical workers may even be left without salaries.
Famous Brovary residents are categorically against the renaming: multiple European and world swimming champion Oleh Lisohor, future participant of the Olympic Games in Paris, wrestler Alina Grushyna (Akobia), former world champion in professional boxing Yuriy Nuzhnenko and many others.
