The CEO of Okhmatdyt announced that the hospital had partially resumed operations after the missile strike. He emphasized the need to quickly repair the new building to preserve the unique infrastructure.

Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital is currently operating at about 60-70% capacity. This was announced by Volodymyr Zhovnir, CEO of Okhmatdyt, during a briefing. He also said that if the modern building is not quickly restored, there is a risk of losing the unique infrastructure of the hospital, reports UNN correspondent .

Right now the hospital is working at about 60-70%...As a result of this missile strike, 5 buildings were damaged in the hospital. The dialysis center is almost completely destroyed. The old surgical building, the administrative building, the new building, and the neonatal building were heavily damaged

- Zhovnir said.

He noted that on the first day, power supply, medical gas supply, and water supply were restored. Everything has been done so that at least some of the buildings have ventilation.

"We have done everything possible to return most of the departments. I see that if we don't quickly restore the building, unfortunately, we may lose the unique infrastructure that makes Okhmatdyt Okhmatdyt. That is why my team and I initiated the fastest possible restoration of this new building, where the main surgical care is now concentrated," Zhovnir said.

He also noted that 22 scheduled surgeries were performed in this building today.

Despite the destruction, the surgical building is still in use. Today alone, about 20 scheduled surgeries were performed there.

Addendum

On July 27, the Ministry of Health reported that the damaged modern building of the Okhmatdyt hospital would be fully restored by winter.

Recently, Bud-Technology LLC was determined as the winner of the tender from the Charitable Foundation Okhmatdyt for the repair of the hospital building that was damaged by a missile attack in July. This company was one of the most expensive proposals for the reconstruction.

Health Minister Lyashko reported that amid the scandal over the overpriced reconstruction of Okhmatdyt, the Health Ministry has asked law enforcement agencies to conduct additional checks on the tender for the hospital's reconstruction.

As a result, Lyashko said that the tender for the reconstruction of Okhmatdyt will be held again and on Prozorro. The new tender for the reconstruction of Okhmatdyt will be held within 7-16 days.
