In 2024, more than 4,000 applicants from the temporarily occupied territories and those displaced from the TOT entered Ukrainian higher education institutions. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykhailo Vynnytskyi during a briefing on Thursday, UNN reports.
Today we talked about 69 thousand students who have been admitted to state-funded places. Quota 2, which refers to applicants from the temporarily occupied territories or those who moved from the temporarily occupied territories to the territory controlled by Ukraine during 2024, is more than 4 thousand applicants. This is actually a very important figure, because these are 4,000 children who have expressed a desire to study in Ukrainian higher education institutions under occupation
The Deputy Minister of Education emphasized the importance of the fact that applicants from TOT want to study in Ukrainian universities, given the pressure to enter Russian institutions.
Taking into account the pressure they are under to enter Russian institutions, each of these children is a huge treasure that we should cherish, and we should definitely attract more and more of our citizens who are now in different situations around the world through a competitively competitive higher education system
