Since the launch of the Ukrainian humanitarian corridor in the Black Sea, 33.8 million tons of cargo have been exported to 40 countries on 1,140 vessels, exceeding the export volume for the entire year of the Grain Initiative.

Since the start of the Ukrainian humanitarian corridor in the Black Sea, 33.8 million tons of cargo have been exported to 40 countries . Already 1140 ships have used the Ukrainian corridor.  This was announced on March 29 by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov on his Facebook page, UNN reports.

Details

33.8 million tons of cargo were exported via the Ukrainian Corridor in 7 months. This is more than was exported in the first year of the Grain Initiative's operation

- Kubrakov wrote.

He pointed out that in the first month of the Ukrainian corridor's operation, there were few ship calls, mostly ships blocked since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. However, the number of vessels ready to call at the ports of Greater Odesa and export products was growing every month.

To date, 1140 vessels have sailed through the Ukrainian corridor, exporting 33.8 million tons of cargo to 40 countries. Of these, 23.1 million tons were products of Ukrainian farmers

- Kubrakov said.

According to him, 150 vessels are currently waiting to approach the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi, which are expected to export almost 5 million tons of cargo.

"We can say that we have reached almost pre-war export volumes from the ports of Greater Odesa, and have introduced a much more efficient logistics route without the participation of the aggressor state, while continuing to be a guarantor of the world's food security. This is another joint victory of the state, the Joint Defense Forces and the entire maritime infrastructure industry," Kubrakov summarized.

Recall

The Ukrainian corridor was opened in August 2023, a month after Russia finally withdrew from the grain initiative and launched systematic attacks on port infrastructure and agricultural facilities.
