Thus, as part of the project, 13 specialized doctors visited Vinnytsia region. More than 230 families from Ladyzhyn signed up for an examination. The visiting team of specialists from Okhmatdyt worked in Ladyzhyn for two days.
Last year, Okhmatdyt doctors visited Ladyzhyn four times and were able to examine 1058 children.
"Last year, we primarily gave preference to children from large and low-income families.
Taking into account the large number of IDPs from other regions of Ukraine, which is up to three thousand, we also provided assistance to IDPs," comments Petro Andriyets, Head of Social Development at MHP-Hromada Charitable Foundation.
The Health Moneybox project offers a convenient and effective format for medical examinations of children. A full examination in a regular hospital can take several days, as you have to make appointments with different specialists at different times.
However, within the framework of the Health Moneybox initiative, the necessary examination can be completed in a few hours. The child can visit about 20 different doctors of narrow specializations in stages. In addition, the necessary tests can be taken, and the results will be provided as soon as possible after the examination.
"On the same day, the patient receives a blood test with the results and recommendations on what to do next.
We refer the children we examine and who need further examination to the outpatient clinic. If hospitalization is necessary, we refer them to the specialized departments of our hospital," comments Olga Medvedieva, head of the pediatric department of the Okhmatdyt National Children's Hospital.
The project has been operating since May 2022. During this time, Okhmatdyt specialists have examined more than 20 thousand children from different regions of the country. 78 visits helped to cure hundreds of children.
