The Ministry of culture and information policy of Ukraine reported that according to the results of the survey of the coat of arms on the monument "Motherland", the Paton Institute found "minor local shortcomings", they are planned to be eliminated, a contract was signed for further tests, writes UNN.

The Museum of the history of Ukraine in World War II, as reported, in the fall of 2023 appealed to the E. O. Paton Institute of electric welding of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine "with a request to carry out an independent technological survey of the coat of arms for the purpose of further control and holistic monitoring.
"The E. O. Paton Institute of electric welding conducted visual-optical, capillary, eddy current control, as well as chemical analysis of welds of metal structures and provided a report. It refers to the identified minor local shortcomings that do not affect the operation of metal structures in an aggressive environment. They plan to eliminate them in the near future," the Icip said.
It is indicated that "the museum not only initiated work to eliminate existing defects, but also in July 2024 signed an agreement with the E. O. Paton Institute of electric welding to provide product testing services.
"The condition of the sculpture and Trident is under close control of museum workers and technical specialists. At the same time, the attention of society and the media to the sculpture "Motherland" testifies to the great importance of the symbol of invincibility for the Ukrainian people," the Ministry of Culture noted.
