Latvia plans to hand over to Ukraine the first drones worth 1 million euros as part of the Drone Coalition, which have been tested and recognized as combat-ready.

As part of the Drone Coalition, Latvia plans to send Ukraine the first drones worth 1 million euros, which have already passed all the necessary tests and have been recognized as sufficiently suitable for combat operations. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Latvia, Eika Silinia, during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, UNN reports.

We are also working within the Drone Coalition to get Latvia to join and produce drones to be sent to support Ukraine. Very soon we plan to send the first drones worth a total of 1 million euros. The drones have already been tested. Our colleagues have already recognized them as sufficiently combat-ready and meeting all the requirements. Therefore, we can involve our partners even more, and we can also coordinate this event well, which will become a platform for other similar initiatives in Europe and beyond

- Silinya said.

She noted that Latvia will contribute 10 million euros to the Czech initiative to purchase shells for the Armed Forces.
