During a visit to Italy, the head of the Kyiv RMA Ruslan Kravchenko met with representatives of universities in the Italian region of Tuscany, UNN reports.

"Tuscan universities are popular due to their long history, high quality of education and innovative approaches to learning. They hold leading positions in European rankings, offer a wide range of modern study programs and actively cooperate with international academic communities. I initiated the signing of memorandums of partnership between our universities, as it opens up new perspectives for students and teachers," he said.

There are three universities in Kyiv region: Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University, Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav, and the Tax University in Irpin. Therefore, we are interested primarily in cooperation with specialized educational institutions.

"We also need to exchange experience with medical schools. Given the challenges of the war, we have to deal with a large number of injuries and a shortage of medical staff. Another aspect is the implementation of mental health programs. There are four medical colleges in Kyiv region, and we are striving to improve the qualifications of our staff. The construction sector and the economy also need professional staff, given the significant need for recovery," said the head of the Kyiv RMA.

Kravchenko also  met with the Ukrainian community in Tuscany.

"I am grateful to the Italian government for the help and support of our refugees. Today, there are 15,000 people in the Tuscany region who were forced to leave the country because of Russian aggression. Many of those who are now outside Ukraine want to return home," he said.

During the conversation with the community, the head of the Kyiv RMA told about the programs to support IDPs implemented in the Kyiv region, about job creation and housing reconstruction, and the possibility of online learning.

"Despite all the difficulties, we are working to bring people back home. I appealed to the community to tell Italians about the situation in Ukraine more actively. I want every Italian to understand that we can defeat the Russian aggressor only together," he emphasized.
