In Wrocław, an 18-year-old citizen of Ukraine has been charged after a knife attack on a 30-year-old woman. According to the prosecutor's office, the man pleaded not guilty and refused to give explanations, while the prosecution is requesting his temporary arrest. This is reported by RMF24, writes UNN.

Spokesperson for the Wrocław prosecutor's office, Jakub Dłubacz, told journalists that the young man did not admit his guilt. He also refused to give explanations.
Dłubacz emphasized that the 30-year-old woman was stabbed, including in the neck and chest. He did not specify the exact number of blows inflicted.
"As far as I know, the victim has already been questioned," said Dłubacz, answering journalists' questions. He added that, according to the information available to him, the attacker was not acquainted with his victim. On Monday, the injured woman left the hospital.
The prosecutor's office is requesting the temporary arrest of Dmytro M. for three months. The corresponding motion has already been submitted to the court.

The attack occurred on Saturday evening in the Muchobór district of Wrocław. An 18-year-old boy stabbed a 30-year-old woman several times on a stairwell. He was quickly detained.
As reported by the police, the 30-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Statement from the Ukrainian consulate regarding the attack
In a statement released on Sunday afternoon, the Consulate General of Ukraine in Wrocław reported that it "received the information about the incident with regret."
"We strongly condemn any manifestations of violence and aggression, regardless of who is the perpetrator and who is the victim. The person who committed the crime must be held accountable in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Poland," the statement reads.
"The vast majority of Ukrainian citizens in Poland are law-abiding people who work, study, pay taxes, and contribute to the development of local communities. Individual crimes cannot and should not cast a shadow over the entire Ukrainian community," emphasized the representatives of the Ukrainian consulate.
