In Kharkiv region, Ukrainian law enforcement officers conducted a special operation during which they neutralized an enemy agent group that tried to transfer secret documents from a local strategic plant to russia. This was reported by the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine, UNN reports.

According to the investigation, the russians were interested in schemes, drawings and instructions for the production of steam turbines and their components.
According to the investigation, the head of the russian intelligence group was a resident of Kharkiv, a former business partner of the local plant. Also among the detainees are the head of the design bureau and the deputy head of the industrial enterprise's workshop.
During the searches of the suspects' residences and workplaces, the SBU seized technical documentation, phones, laptops, tablets and flash drives with evidence of the crimes.
In addition, the organizer of the agent group was found to have more than UAH 5 million in the equivalent, which he allegedly received for cooperation with russia.
SBU investigators have served the suspects a notice of suspicion under Part 2 Article 28 and Part 2 Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law by a group of persons by prior conspiracy). The detainees are being held without bail. They face life imprisonment
An investigation is currently underway to bring to justice all persons involved in the activities of russian agents.
