A man tried to swim to Romania using an underwater scooter. After his detention, it turned out that this was the second attempt by the offender to illegally cross the border. This was reported on Saturday by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, UNN reports.

Border guards spotted the clever "swimmer" while patrolling the Danube River.
Reportedly, the man was swimming underwater, but periodically came to the surface to breathe.
Using an underwater scooter, he tried to quickly overcome the water route and get to Romania. However, it did not work out, he was detained," the SBGS said.
As it turned out, this was the offender's second attempt to illegally cross the border.
