Since the beginning of the year, 39 transplant operations have been performed at the Lviv Transplant Center, which is the largest number in the country. This was stated by the Lviv City Council, reports UNN.

In the first quarter of 2024, the Transplant Center of the First Medical Association of Lviv performed the largest number of organ transplants in Ukraine. In the first three months of 2024 alone, 131 organ transplants were performed in Ukraine. Of these, 39 were performed at the Lviv Transplant Center, which is the largest number in the country.
The Center for Transplantology of the First Medical Association of Lviv stated that in recent years the transplantation system has been actively developing in Ukraine, despite the full-scale war.
In particular, the geography of centers and hospitals where organ transplants will be performed is constantly expanding.

The Lviv City Council also emphasized that the Transplantation Center of the First Medical Association of Lviv was launched in 2021. It has 7 intensive care and 10 inpatient beds, as well as 2 isolated operating rooms with the latest equipment.
