The so-called "court" in occupied Donetsk sentenced former security assistant of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission Vadym Golda to 14 years in a maximum security colony on charges of espionage (Article 276 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the Russian media, UNN reports.

Details

The invaders claim that in 2021, 56-year-old Golda allegedly performed an intelligence mission in the so-called "dpr" in favor of foreign intelligence: "collected data on industrial facilities, which were subsequently subjected to missile strikes that caused damage totaling almost 100 million rubles.

The "court" also ruled to confiscate 43 armored vehicles used by the OSCE mission in Ukraine.

Addendum

In April 2022, several members of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, including Ukrainian citizen Vadym Golda, were detained in the occupied Donetsk region. In September 2022, the occupiers in the Luhansk region sentenced another OSCE mission member, Dmytro Shabanov, to 13 years in prison on charges of treason.

After the detention of the staff, the OSCE announced the final closure of the mission in Ukraine.
