Next year, in order to keep the defense in Ukraine, mobilization should continue. This was stated by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov during the "Annual General Meeting of the Association 2024", UNN reports.
"For the next year, in order to keep the defense, so that all the goals and objectives specified in the military strategy (are fulfilled - ed.), we must continue mobilization," Umerov said.
He noted that in the summer, it was heard that the economy needed to be reserved.
"The Cabinet of Ministers has passed several resolutions, Diia has done the same, and we have reserved a number of people, but we have to continue mobilizing. We will always be open to work with associations, we ask you to contact us and explain and argue how we can help you," Umerov said.
In addition, he noted that the Ministry of Defense provides recommendations on how much is needed to hold the front, to have strategic reserves and operational reserves.
"We are trying to change the paradigm so that service is an honor, not the way society perceives it now. We are trying to change approaches and principles," the minister said.
