Stepan Kubiv, a Member of Parliament of Ukraine of the ninth convocation, has passed away, the press service of the Verkhovna Rada Apparatus reported on Monday, UNN writes.
The leadership of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Members of Parliament, and the leadership and staff of the Parliament's Apparatus express their condolences on the death of Stepan Kubiv, a Member of Parliament of Ukraine of the ninth convocation. During his tenure in the Verkhovna Rada, Stepan Kubiv was a member of the Committee on Economic Development.

Stepan Kubiv was a Ukrainian politician and public figure, commandant of the Headquarters of National Resistance during the Revolution of Dignity, and served as the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine in 2016-2019.
Previously, he was the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (2014), a Member of Parliament of Ukraine of the 7th and 8th convocations (2012-2016), the Representative of the President of Ukraine in Parliament (2015-2016), Chairman of the All-Ukrainian "Memorial" Society named after Vasyl Stus, and a Candidate of Economic Sciences.
