Answering the question whether a fire really occurred in Kyiv at the Gorodok shopping center, Petrov said that a six-story office building caught fire.
"There was a fire on the second floor. The fire was extinguished at 8:09 a.m. on an area of 40 square meters, and there were no injuries. Rescuers unblocked two people from the elevator car and took them out into the fresh air," Petrov said.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.

Earlier, the capital's Telegram channels reported that the Gorodok Gallery shopping center was allegedly on fire.
