KYIV. November 19. UNN. In an interview with the telethon, the spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ihnat, assured that the availability of modern multi-purpose aircraft in Ukraine could significantly affect the course of the war, reports UNN.
"Aircraft will change the course of the war, and they will change it very seriously. The question is that these aircraft should not be such that their tactical and technical characteristics will be significantly weaker than Russian ones. We need modern aircraft, we need aircraft that can gain air superiority and a number of other factors that a multi-purpose aircraft has. That is, an F-16 in a certain modification, which can strike ground targets, surface targets and air targets, plus protect the state from missiles and drones from within.
Such aviation complexes as multi-purpose aircraft will be able to significantly influence the course of the war. It is with the help of, for example, the F-16 that Ukraine will be able to drive away Russian aviation and cover ground troops from the air. Let us remind you that the training of Ukrainian pilots to operate F-16 fighters has already begun in the United States.
