Despite the public criticism and demands to recall MP Yuriy Boyko from the parliamentary committee, Petro Poroshenko and the European Solidarity faction have actually supported the pro-Moscow politician. Political expert Petro Oleshchuk writes about this , noting that  Boyko and Poroshenko have a long and close history of relations.

“They worked fruitfully together in the same Azarov government under Yanukovych. Both were good colleagues. Poroshenko was the Minister of Economy, and Boyko was the Minister of Energy. Then Boyko and Poroshenko walked side by side throughout Petro Oleksiyovych's cadence: both shook hands and hugged Putin; both worked with or for Russia; both are anti-leaders of popular sympathy - according to various social studies, Ukrainians hate only Russians more; both were or are parishioners of the UOC-MP,” Oleshchuk emphasizes.

Petro Oleshchuk also spoke about Boyko's regular appearances on Poroshenko's Pryamyi TV channel.

“Yuriy Boyko, who until recently publicly supported Russia, was a frequent guest on Poroshenko's Pryamyi TV channel! He actually registered there. Poroshenko supported Boyko because they have many things in common, including Russia. And even the thousands of deaths of Ukrainians at the hands of Russians did not affect these relations. Therefore, by actively tearing the embroidered shirt on his chest and criticizing Boyko, Petro Poroshenko is actually once again admitting to the whole country that he has close contacts with Moscow,” Oleshchuk summarizes.

He reminds us that the first vote to expel Boyko from the Verkhovna Rada committee failed because it was those who shouted the loudest: “Down with the Kremlin agents!”.

“40% of Petro Poroshenko's European Solidarity faction did not support the recall of the Russian World adherent from the committee. At first, Petro Oleksiyovych himself was crucifying himself behind the rostrum for Boyko's recall, but when it came down to it, he did not vote for Boyko's recall. Almost half of the Eurosolidarity faction also saved the former OPFL leader from expulsion from the committee,” Petro Oleshchuk writes.

It should be noted that on the second attempt after the publicity, and the next day, MPs supported the recall of Yuriy Boyko from the position of a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, Deoccupation and Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories.

As reported earlier, Petro Poroshenko, Viktor Medvedchuk, Andrii Derkach and 20 other MPs were included in the anti-rating of absentee MPs who missed more than 50% of the votes in the Verkhovna Rada. According to analysts, the most votes were ignored by MPs who fled the OPFL. Most of them were overtaken only by the head of Eurosolidarity, Petro Poroshenko, who missed more than 65% of the parliamentary votes.
