The tax initiatives of Danylo Hetmantsev, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy , have led to the closure of 70,000 businesses in Ukraine, and all he touches is the death of the Ukrainian economy. This opinion was expressed by political strategist Serhiy Gaidai in an exclusive commentary to UNN.
In his Telegram channel, Hetmantsev said that he and his colleagues had prepared a draft law on the "white business club". According to him, the essence of the document is that "if an entrepreneur meets simple and transparent criteria for paying taxes above the industry average and paying salaries above the industry average, he will not be subject to tax control in the form of inspections. This is among other advantages. The list is reviewed quarterly.
"This man (Hetmantsev - ed.) is to blame for the fact that we are still an economically weak state during the war. Because he is a direct disciple of Azarov, who is a direct disciple of the Soviet state, where an entrepreneur is a criminal who should not be given the opportunity to earn money - it should be taken away from him, killing the economy. Thanks to Mr. Hetmantsev's initiatives, at least 70,000 businesses have closed, and I would bring him to justice for this," said Gaidai.
According to him, Hetmantsev's idea to create a "white business club" is a manipulation.
"There is only one mechanism - create normal conditions for taxpayers, and you will not need clubs of white, black and gray... Everything this person (Hetmantsev - ed.) touches is the death of the Ukrainian economy, which means a weak state that is very difficult to defeat the enemy. I would bring him to justice for betraying national interests and for helping the enemy. Even in the Russian Federation, the economy and entrepreneurs have more freedoms and less state regulation, and all this is thanks to the activities of people like Hetmantsev and his associates," Gaidai emphasized.
He explained that the less the government interferes with business by providing preferences, etc., the stronger the economy is.
According to Mr. Gaidai, unfortunately, in 30 years, Ukraine has not built a fair and normal tax system. Therefore, this has led to the fact that a large number of enterprises exist in the "gray", "in the shadows".
Gaidai noted that Ukraine still has "his majesty the taxman," who perceives the majority of entrepreneurs as criminals who hide money and need to be squeezed out by all means - pressure, security forces. "And then the representative of the state says that all those who give us money themselves are white, and all those who won't do so are black. And this is not a country of democracy and freedom at all," Gaidai emphasized.
Recall
Nina Yuzhanina, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy , said earlier that Hetmantsev wants to legalize the right of the tax authorities to recognize a taxpayer as a risky one under the guise of tax nannies to stop the registration of tax invoices.
In an exclusive interview with UNN, Yana Matviychuk, a volunteer, founder of the creative agency ARENA CS, and member of the Young Business Club Board, said that the tax policy implemented by Hetmantsev is severely slowing down the Ukrainian economy and, if not stopped, will lead to its decline in the future.
