The EU has not yet agreed on the 21st package of sanctions against Russia, said EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas upon arriving at the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting on Monday, reports UNN.
Today we hope to agree on 250 sanctions items, and we are also working on the 21st sanctions package, for which there is still no agreement. This is the largest number of sanctions items we have ever agreed on. It is also a response to Russia's recent attacks on civilians
In response to a clarifying question about whether there are sanctions that could be adopted against Russia beyond the 21st package, Kallas stated: "We have 250 entities, that is, various people, individuals who have been involved in various activities, so this is a huge list that I hope we will adopt today."
"As for the 21st sanctions package, there are still some open issues, but we are working to reach an agreement," Kallas emphasized.
