After the break, the French dramatically changed the course of the game. In the 48th minute, Kylian Mbappé pulled one goal back, and six minutes later, Bradley Barcola reduced the deficit to two goals. In the 66th minute, Mbappé scored a brace, making the score 3:4 and giving France hope for a comeback.
However, in the 87th minute, Saka converted a penalty and completed a hat-trick, restoring England's comfortable lead. In stoppage time, Ousmane Dembélé again reduced the deficit, but the last word belonged to Jude Bellingham, who set the final score at 6:4 in the 90+8th minute.
