A friendly match between the national football teams of Denmark and Ukraine was terminated early after the hosts' captain, Christian Eriksen, collapsed. This was reported by UNN.

In the 67th minute, Eriksen clutched his chest and then collapsed onto the turf. As a result, the game was suspended for a long period. Fortunately, the player regained consciousness after receiving medical assistance, after which he was taken from the field by an ambulance.
During Euro 2020, Eriksen lost consciousness right on the pitch at the end of the first half of the opening round match between the national teams of Denmark and Finland (0:1). The footballer's heart stopped, but the medical team managed to save his life. After that, he underwent a long rehabilitation and returned to professional football, though he plays with a pacemaker.
Christian feels fine and left the field on his own. In my opinion, the pacemaker worked exactly as it should have. He lost consciousness briefly but came to very quickly, and we established contact with him immediately. Now he will undergo additional examinations at the hospital to determine the cause of the incident.
