The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the largest Russian space communications center in Dubna, Moscow region, for the second time in a month. This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, UNN reports.
Details
This facility is located more than 500 km from the Russian-Ukrainian border. Zelenskyy noted: recently, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have already reached four such Russian centers - not only in the Moscow region, but also in the Vladimir region of Russia.
The space communications center in Dubna is a special satellite communications facility used, in particular, for reconnaissance and coordination of the activities of the Russian occupation contingent on the territory of Ukraine.
Step by step, we are implementing our plan of long-range sanctions and making it as difficult as possible for the aggressor state to conduct aggressive operations against Ukraine and occupy our territories. Appropriate actions are also being prepared against other similar enemy facilities
At the same time, The Moscow Times reports that one Russian serviceman was killed as a result of the attack.
Additionally
It is worth noting that in June, the SBS intensified attacks on facilities on the territory of Russia. One of the attacks occurred on the night of June 18.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed strikes on the Moscow oil refinery and in the Rostov region.
He thanked the military of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the strikes deep into Russian territory, which were carried out by modernized FP-1 drones, and stated that the plan of long-range sanctions is being implemented.
Footage has appeared online of Ukrainian FP-1 drones over the Russian capital, which the "Pantsir" system is trying in vain to shoot down. This is the second strike on the Moscow oil refinery.
Before that, on June 16, drone attacks on oil facilities were recorded in the Moscow region and Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation. Footage was also posted online showing an FP-1 strike drone, created by Fire Point for deep strikes on enemy territory, maneuvering in the sky over Moscow.
Analysts point out that the affected oil refinery is located approximately 15 kilometers from the Kremlin. After these attacks, the Moscow oil refinery will not function for at least six months.
Also in the Russian Federation, reports were made of a drone attack on the Tyumen oil refinery (formerly the Antipinsky oil refinery). Ukrainian drones also struck the infrastructure of the "Kavkaz" seaport in Krasnodar Krai - the tank farm of the oil product transshipment complex and the territory of the oil depot were hit.
In addition, the Nizhny Novgorod oil refinery - the NORSI plant - suspended operations indefinitely after the Ukrainian attack.
After a series of Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries, the Russians began to have problems with fuel.
