Apartment buildings in Brovary can join the city's program of partial compensation for the purchase of electric generators more than once. According to Khrystyna Makohon, the head of the Kyivska 261-A Apartment Building Co-Owners Association, in a commentary to UNN, they received compensation for the first time at the end of 2022. Now they have purchased another generator and prepared a package of documents for the city council to receive another compensation.
Details
As the head of the HOA recalls, their building joined the program almost immediately after it was launched during the blackouts at the end of 2022.
We have our own boiler room in our house, and to keep people from freezing, we quickly purchased a generator for UAH 90,000 from our reserve fund. We submitted documents to the city council and were compensated UAH 50 thousand. This year we bought another generator. It's cheaper - 35 thousand hryvnias - but it works great when there is no electricity. The documents for the city council to receive compensation are ready, and I will submit them soon. We also plan to buy additional batteries for the pumping station,
According to her, before purchasing the generators, they consulted with experts on what basic needs they should meet. Accordingly, the best options in terms of power and price were selected.
We have an organization that maintains the boiler room and the pump room. They told us how much power we needed. According to their recommendations, I bought the first generator. Now they have also chosen the right option for us,
Khrystyna Makohon noted that there are 204 apartments in their ten-story building, so they cannot afford to buy more powerful generators, which cost from 500,000 hryvnias. However, the existing generators cover the basic needs of the building during power outages. Therefore, she wonders why some apartment buildings in Brovary have not joined the compensation program for the purchase of generators.
I think that now, in the midst of preparations for winter, there will be more applications for compensation. This is a great program, and we are very pleased that we are being helped. When we bought our first generator, our application was promptly reviewed and the money was quickly transferred to our account. It is very good that the city partially compensates these costs for apartment buildings,
Optional
The mayor of Brovary, Ihor Sazhko , urged condominiums and housing cooperatives to become more actively involved in the program of partial compensation for the purchase of generators for apartment buildings to prepare for winter.
The corresponding program has been operating in our city since the end of 2022, and about thirty Brovary condominiums and housing cooperatives have already joined it, some of them repeatedly. The city has allocated almost two million hryvnias for compensation. In order to receive compensation for the installed generator, the management of a condominium or housing cooperative must apply to the city's Department of Housing, Infrastructure and Transport. A commission reviews the application, determines the amount of compensation and makes a decision at a meeting of the executive committee. I would like to urge all residents of apartment buildings to be proactive and join this program so that they do not depend on power outages,
