Across Ukraine, the overall incidence of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections is about 30% below the epidemic threshold. So far, the situation is under control.
This was announced by Mykhailo Rosada, Director General of the Center for Public Health, during a telethon, UNN reports .
The overall incidence of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections in Ukraine is about 30% below the epidemic threshold. So far, the situation is quite controlled. There are slightly higher rates in the western regions, but for the most part, the situation in Ukraine is stable. Therefore, it is too early to talk about exceeding the epidemic thresholds
He noted that if we compare the last week with the previous week, the incidence is almost one and a half percent lower. He also noted that this year there are two types of influenza circulating - “A” and “B”.
They are known and there is nothing supernatural about them
AddendumAddendum
On December 9, Deputy Minister of Health, Chief Sanitary Doctor Ihor Kuzin reported that Ukraine, like other European countries, is experiencing a gradual increase in the incidence of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections (ARI). At the same time, the incidence of influenza and ARVI is 18-20% lower than in the same period last year.
Kuzin also stated that Ukraine is experiencing flu circulation, particularly in the west. It is expected to spread to the central regions in January and February. Hospitalizations remain low, but most deaths are caused by covid, especially among the unvaccinated.
