Details

As the minister noted, Ukraine "needs more people, not more weapons." According to him, "the war will not be resolved on the battlefield."

Ukraine needs more people, not more weapons. It has enough weapons, so we do not foresee providing more weapons to the Ukrainian army. We are seeing a positional war, and no matter how much weaponry is accumulated, the only thing achieved is the loss of human lives

- Stoyanov's statement reads.

The Defense Minister believes that "it is time for the parties to the conflict to sit down at the negotiating table." He added that the role of the European Union is extremely important.

Additionally

Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev stated that the European Union must take a leading role in negotiations with Russia regarding the end of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

As a reminder

Earlier, UNN reported that in Bulgaria, the pro-Russian "Vazrazhdane" (Revival) party submitted a draft resolution to parliament to terminate the 10-year security agreement with Ukraine.
