In the Kyiv region, as a result of the enemy attack, 16 people are known to have been killed and 29 injured, the regional Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine reported on Wednesday, UNN writes.

According to the police, as of 10:25:
- in Brovary district, 10 people were killed and another 12 were injured. A private house, five warehouse buildings, an enterprise, six trucks and a passenger car were damaged;
- in Bucha district, warehouse buildings, a car and three trucks were damaged. Five people were killed and 13 people sustained bodily injuries;
- in Fastiv district, a man was killed and another four people were injured. A warehouse building was damaged.
According to the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, during the night of August 5, the enemy launched a combined attack using strike drones and missiles on populated areas in Brovary, Bucha and Fastiv districts:
"The largest number of casualties was recorded in Brovary district. In the village of Kvitneve, 8 people were killed on the territory of a railway station and another 3 were injured. After the workday, people were waiting for their commuter trains to travel home. Private residential buildings were also damaged. In the village of Peremoha, two people were killed and another eight were injured as a result of a missile strike on warehouse buildings belonging to an enterprise. In Brovary, one person was injured in a missile strike on a warehouse building. Large-scale fires broke out," the prosecutor's office said.
The prosecutor's office confirmed that "in Bucha district, 5 people were killed and another 13 injured as a result of missile strikes on warehouse complexes," and that "in Fastiv district, one person was killed as a result of a missile strike on a logistics center."
A pretrial investigation has been launched into war crimes related to the massive missile and drone attack by the armed forces of the russian federation on civilian infrastructure in the Kyiv region (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
