Another 95 defenders have been released from Russian captivity. These are soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and border guards. This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, UNN reports.

"We are bringing our people back home! I am incredibly pleased to announce that 95 of our people have returned to their homeland today! In total, we have managed to return 3405 of our people home since the beginning of the full-scale invasion," Lubinets wrote.

According to him, soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and border guards have been returned.

"Employees of our Office are at the place of exchange in order to monitor compliance with human rights, in accordance with international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions. Many relatives received phone calls from the returnees for a long time. Also, relatives of those who were returned today will receive an official notification from the Coordination Headquarters on the Treatment of Prisoners of War," Lubinets said.

According to him, the returned soldiers will eat, receive clean clothes, be examined by doctors, and receive the necessary treatment and rehabilitation.

"Thank you OEA for the help in returning our soldiers," he added.

Lubinets reported that Ukraine does not expect a large-scale exchange of prisoners in the near future due to the significant difference in the number of detained citizens.
