48 communities in the Kyiv region have already been connected to heat by 100%. This was announced by Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the Kyiv RMA , during a briefing within the framework of the initiative of the Headquarters of Cohesive Communities, UNN reports.

The briefings will be held regularly throughout the heating season to inform the public about the winter, how communities are prepared for it and what challenges they face. Representatives of relevant ministries, central executive authorities, regional administrations and communities will be invited to participate in the briefings.

Ruslan Kravchenko emphasized that all 69 communities  without exception have reported the start of the heating season.  First of all, schools, kindergartens,  medical institutions are being connected to heating, and residential buildings are also being connected.

The head of the CRMA also emphasized that Kyiv region, together with communities, is actively working to strengthen energy resilience. In particular,  89 locations for the installation of cogeneration units have already been identified and investors are being attracted to this process.

"We have signed memorandums on the installation of 80 MW plants at 33 locations. Another 16 locations are located in the Buchanska community, where 20 MW of capacity will be installed," said Ruslan Kravchenko.

He also added that there are already 11 operating plants in the Kyiv region, which were set up in previous years.

"To provide  people with heat, water and electricity. This is the challenge facing every region and every community today. This requires daily coordinated work of the relevant ministries, regional administrations, communities, and energy companies. Given the constant attacks of the enemy, we must be prepared for non-standard situations and help each other," Ruslan Kravchenko emphasized.

In addition, he added, Kyiv region is working on other projects to increase the energy independence of the entire region. Solar power plants and compact gas-fired thermal power plants are being installed, and ESCO agreements are being concluded.
