261 engagements took place at the front over the past day, with nearly a quarter occurring in the Pokrovsk and Kostyantynivka directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its morning briefing on August 6, UNN writes.
A total of 261 combat engagements were recorded over the past day
Yesterday, the enemy launched two missile strikes, used 30 missiles, carried out 78 airstrikes, dropping 299 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it used 10,672 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,314 attacks on populated areas and the positions of our troops, including 66 with multiple-launch rocket systems.
Over the past day, the missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces struck nine UAV command posts, four areas where personnel were concentrated, and seven command posts of the Russian invaders.
Situation by direction
In the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, seven engagements with the enemy took place over the past day; the aggressor carried out two airstrikes, dropped four aerial bombs, and conducted 75 attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas, including 19 with multiple-launch rocket systems.
In the South Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our units 12 times in the areas of the populated areas of Starytsia and Vovchansk and toward the populated areas of Khatnie, Ternova, Zemlianyi Yar, and Ivashkyne.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out 11 attacks toward the populated areas of Kupiansk, Kindrashivka, Novoosynove, and Shyikivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attempted to break through our defenses 14 times, attacking toward the populated areas of Novoselivka, Lyman, Dibrova, Shyikivka, and Ozerne.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy launched assaults 14 times in the areas of the populated areas of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, and Riznykivka, and toward Pyskუნivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy carried out two offensive actions in the area of Nykyforivka and toward Yurkivka.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 29 attacks in the areas of the populated areas of Kostyantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Stepanivka, Toretske, and Sofiivka, and toward Novopavlivka, Dovha Balka, Vilne, and Nove Shakhove.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 29 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of the populated areas of Dorozhnіe, Kotlyne, Udachne, and toward the populated areas of Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Shevchenko, Vasylivka, and Serhiivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out one offensive action toward Oleksandrohrad.
In the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers carried out 11 attacks toward the populated areas of Dobropillia, Tsvitkove, Hirke, and Staroukrainka, and in the areas of the populated areas of Danylivka, Charivne, and Novoselivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders stopped four attempts by the enemy to advance toward the populated areas of Mala Tokmachka and Pavlivka.
In the Dnipro direction, the enemy conducted no offensive actions over the past day.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
