Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal believes that it is necessary to impose sanctions on the entire russian military-industrial complex, nuclear energy, metallurgy, finance and other sectors of the aggressor state. Shmyhal said this during a joint press conference with Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina, UNN reports.
Sanctions are an important issue for us. We discussed in detail the strengthening of sanctions pressure on russia. We need to impose sanctions on the entire russian military-industrial complex, nuclear energy, metallurgy, finance and other sectors of the aggressor state. All sanctions circumvention loopholes should be closed. In this context, we welcome Latvia's decision to ban imports of grain and other agricultural products from russia and belarus. We call for a similar decision at the EU level
Recall
On February 22, the Latvian government passed a resolution in two readings banning imports of russian and belarusian agricultural products until at least July 2025.
