780 people detained in France due to riots following the PSG match. 219 civilians and 57 law enforcement officers were injured in various cities across the country.

In France, nearly 800 people were detained following the Champions League final involving PSG due to riots and public order violations. The unrest occurred in various cities across the country during mass celebrations, the French Ministry of the Interior reported. This was reported by BFMTV, according to UNN.

Details

Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez stated that numerous incidents occurred across the country on the evening of May 30 following PSG's victory in the Champions League final.

At the same time, he noted that overall the situation "remained under control."

Across the country, 780 people were detained, more than half of whom – 480 – were in Paris. In the capital, 277 people remained in custody, including 82 minors. 

219 participants in the events sustained physical injuries, eight of whom were seriously injured. In one case, a 17-year-old youth suffered serious stab wounds. 

57 law enforcement officers from the police and gendarmerie were also injured.
