Law enforcement officers have notified four organizers of an illegal scheme of suspicion, who for money transferred servicemen from the front line to units not involved in active hostilities. Among the participants in the deal is a former deputy chief of staff of one of the commands of the branches of the Armed Forces. This is reported by the State Bureau of Investigation, writes UNN.
On average, the "fee" was 8,000 US dollars. The deputy chief of staff, through extensive connections and powers, directly communicated and influenced the adoption of illegal decisions by military leaders. Among them were high-ranking officials of the Armed Forces of all levels
The members of the organized group were well aware of the forms and methods of operation of operational and military units, so they developed a detailed mechanism of interaction and took maximum measures of conspiracy. However, thanks to the thorough work of law enforcement officers, their actions were fully documented.
All defendants have been notified of suspicion of abuse of influence by prior conspiracy by a group of persons (part 2 of Article 28 and part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the articles provides for imprisonment for up to 8 years with confiscation of property.
In addition, the SBI has notified four servicemen of suspicion (part 1 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) who used this scheme for money and "resolved the issue" of transfer to rear military units.
In general, during the pre-trial investigation, SBI investigators are investigating more than 150 facts of possible illegal transfer of servicemen to the rear under this scheme.
