Border guards found a man near a railroad track 2 km from the border with Poland who had jumped off a Kyiv-Chop train to get to the neighboring country. Instead, he broke his leg and smashed his head. UNN reports this with reference to the State Border Guard Service.

The injured man was rescued by border guards - with a broken leg and a broken head, he was lying near a railroad track 2 km from the border with Poland.

And after receiving medical care, he said that he jumped off the Kyiv-Chop train, as he had been advised to do in one of the anonymous Telegram channels.

In order to illegally cross the border, the man stocked up on hiking equipment - a sleeping bag, a mattress, hiking shoes, a raincoat and a rope.

Instead, the "trip" ended in an ambulance called by border guards. The failed jumper was also brought to administrative responsibility
