According to him, before the occupation of the city, Vasyl Nechet was the head of the Neftekhimik cultural center. After the occupation, he sided with the enemy and took an active part in the formation of the occupation authorities. He joined the ranks of United Russia and was appointed chairman of the occupation council.
He is suspected by the National Police of Ukraine of committing a criminal offense under Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - collaboration.
