As of 16:00 on Wednesday, July 31, 88 combat engagements took place in the frontline. The situation is the hottest in the Pokrovsk sector, and the enemy is also active in the Toretsk sector. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to UNN.
According to the General Staff, the situation in the areas is as follows:
In the Kharkiv sector, Russians conducted seven attacks near Tykhy and Vovchansk, where two firefights are currently underway.
In the Kupyansk sector , the enemy stormed the positions of our troops three times towards Stepova Novoselivka, Kolesnykivka and Berestove.
In the Liman sector, the invading army attacked seven times near Makiivka, Novosergiivka and Nevske. Our defenders repelled six enemy attacks, one is ongoing.
In the Northern sector , the enemy attacked twice during the day near Verkhnekamianske and Ivano-Daryivka, where the battle is still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy conducted six assault operations near Chasovyi Yar, Ivanivske and Andriivka. Ukrainian defense forces repelled half of the attacks, three more engagements are ongoing.
In the Toretsk sector, the occupants increased the number of attacks to 16 - they attacked near Zalizne, New York, Toretsk and Pivnichne. Thirteen battles were completed, three more are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russians conducted assault operations in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Zhelanne, Serhiivka, Panteleimonivka, Novooleksandrivka, Ivanivka, Lysychne, Tymofiivka, Karlivka and Kalynove. The defense forces are holding back the onslaught of Russian troops and repelled 19 attacks, 17 firefights are ongoing. Enemy losses in this area are being clarified.
In the Kurakhove sector, the militants attacked five times near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Zhelanne and Paraskoviivka. Three battles were completed, two are ongoing.
In the Vremivsk sector, the enemy stormed Ukrainian defenses near Velyka Novosilka. He was defeated in four engagements.
On the Prydniprovskyi direction, the Russians were also unsuccessful, attacking our positions on the left bank of the Dnipro twice.
