It is important for Ukrainian diplomats to pay sufficient attention to timely logistics so that the announced support packages for Ukraine are felt on the frontline in a timely manner. Logistics are currently slowed down, and this applies in particular to agreements with leading partners, starting with the United States. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a meeting of heads of foreign diplomatic missions of Ukraine "Military Diplomacy: Resilience, Weapons, Victory," UNN reports.
"I am grateful to each and every member of our state's team who works with partners on long-term support programs for Ukraine. This includes armed support - the regular formation and delivery of defense packages, as well as financial, political, and support for our joint productions, in particular the defense industry of Ukraine. You all know that we are capable of producing much more drones than we have the capacity to finance our domestic production today," Zelensky said.
The President also noted that Ukraine is constantly increasing the production of Ukrainian artillery.
"We are working on the production of shells. And all of this is something you have to talk about with your partners - you have to agree on investments. And this is a very important task. Budgetary processes will be underway in the countries where you work, and among other things, your task is to convince your partners of the need for further investment in our common security. And it is important that you pay sufficient attention to timely logistics, so that the announced support packages for Ukraine are felt promptly enough at the front and in the formation of our army reserves. Now, unfortunately, logistics is slowed down, this is a fact, and this applies, in particular, to agreements with our leading partners, starting with the United States," Zelensky said.
In addition, Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine has a set of bilateral security agreements with partners, and each of them must be fully implemented, including annual financial obligations.
"I expect the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to be an effective implementer of state policy in all this. Another of your tasks is to involve governments, international organizations, regional leaders from the countries where you work, and companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine. This is one of the key criteria for determining the effectiveness of each ambassador. Ukraine needs specific projects from each country of your work," Zelenskyy said.
