President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already decided who he will appoint as Ukraine's ambassador to South Korea. However, he is not yet ready to announce who it will be. He said this in an interview with the South Korean TV channel KBS, UNN reports.
When asked who would be Ukraine's ambassador to South Korea, Zelenskyy replied: "I am not ready to say who it will be yet, I have already decided who I will send. I really hope that our group will be able to see the leadership of your country. But this will be after the meeting of our teams in Ukraine. I think that after this meeting we will prepare a detailed agenda for the South Korean leadership."
Zelensky also spoke about the main purpose and topics of the negotiations between the delegations in Ukraine.
"How can we help each other? We know exactly what we need from South Korea. We would definitely like to count on it, first of all, it is defense. This is air defense, we do not have time to build a complete air shield against Russia. We have a large territory, and Russia has a lot of missiles. Also, intelligence sharing. I think it's very important for both countries that our intelligence agencies work together," Zelenskyy said.
South Korean President Yun Seok-ol saidthat a South Korean delegation will visit Ukraine this week to share information about North Korean troops being sent to Russia and discuss cooperation measures.
