FAB-1500 high explosive aircraft bombs are an extremely powerful weapon. The main thing is to fight directly against their carriers, namely Su-34 and Su-35 aircraft. This was announced by the spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ilya Evlash during a telethon on Monday, according to a correspondent of UNN.

When asked how to counteract the FAB-1500 cruise bombs, Yevlash replied: "This is an extremely powerful weapon. 1,500 kg is enough to completely demolish a nine-story panel house or an old Khrushchev building.
He noted that there are a lot of such bombs in Russia. The occupiers use them to try to deplete the air defense system.
Our main task now is to fight directly against the carriers that use these bombs - Su-34 and Su-35 aircraft. Of course, this is a rather difficult task, but we have shown that we can perform even such highly complex operations. This requires certain conditions, of course, both tactical and operational skills. And most importantly, we need more Western systems (air defense - ed.)

On March 27, for the first time since 2022, the Russian army struck Kharkiv with aerial bombs. Two hits were recorded - in a secondary school and in the middle of residential buildings.
The head of the Kharkiv RMA, Oleg Sinegubov, reported that on March 27, the enemy fired at Kharkiv with new UMPB D-30 guided munitions.
Yevlash noted that the approximate range of the UMPB D-30 SN bomb is 70-80 km, but this depends on how close a Russian pilot dares to fly to the contact line.
