The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution to ensure improved nutrition for military personnel during treatment in all medical facilities. This decision was made after complaints from the military and inspections by the Ombudsman's Office.

The Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights confirmed the complaints of military personnel about the problem with food in some civilian healthcare facilities. The government has approved a resolution to provide improved nutrition for military personnel during treatment in health care facilities of all forms of ownership. This was reported by the Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets, UNN reports.

There were posts on social media by military personnel complaining about the food offered in some civilian healthcare facilities. This problem was confirmed during monitoring visits conducted by our Office in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Rivne, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and other regions of Ukraine

According to him, the Ombudsman's response acts were sent to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Defense.

And based on their results, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine developed the "Procedure for providing improved nutrition for servicemen during treatment in health care facilities of all forms of ownership and subordination in accordance with the norms applied in military medical institutions," which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on August 13

The Ombudsman welcomed the adoption of the government's resolution, which will bring the nutritional conditions of servicemen undergoing treatment or rehabilitation in healthcare facilities to uniform standards, regardless of the subordination and ownership of these medical institutions.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine should deploy a medical information system in military units by the end of the year to make the route of the wounded transparent and clear. The President also instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to provide funding for the creation of a modern rehabilitation hospital.
