The minimum wage in 2025 will remain at UAH 8,000, but due to tax increases, payments will decrease. The actual amount of money in hand will be UAH 6,160.

The minimum wage in 2025 will remain at UAH 8,000, but an increase in personal income taxes and military duty will reduce the amount of money you will receive. UNN collected information about the "minimum wage" and calculated how much less you will receive.

On January 1, 2025, the Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2025" comes into force, which does not provide for an increase in the subsistence minimum and minimum wage, so their level will remain unchanged.

Minister of Finance Sergiy Marchenko explained the decision not to change the minimum wage as follows:

"At this stage, and this has been agreed with our partners, we are not in a position to raise social standards. This year (2024 - ed.), we raised the minimum wage by 19% to UAH 8 thousand. We believe it is possible to maintain this amount for the whole year next year.

The minimum wage in 2025 will be UAH 8000.

As for the minimum amount of unemployment benefits, it will be UAH 1500.

The minimum unified social contribution is 1760 UAH/month, and the maximum is 35,200 UAH/month.

The total subsistence level will be UAH 2,920.

Ukraine may cancel the subsistence minimum: is there an alternative17.08.24, 16:47

In 2025, the subsistence minimum for able-bodied citizens will be UAH 3,028, and the subsistence minimum for people who have lost their ability to work will be UAH 2,361.

However, the minimum retirement pension will be UAH 2,725, and the maximum will be UAH 23,610.

It is worth noting that this year there was a tax increase (18% personal income tax and 5% military duty), so the nominal figures will be lower.

That is, if last year you received UAH 6,440 in cash after paying all taxes, in 2025 this amount will be UAH 6,160.

Recall

In 2025, the revenue side of Ukraine's budget will exceed UAH 2 trillion, and the expenditures of the general and special funds will amount to more than UAH 3.9 trillion.
