The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a document that will allow the extension of the “transport visa-free regime” with the European Union, and in the future make it indefinite. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting, UNN reports.
Details
Today we have a number of decisions on the agenda that strengthen Ukraine and are part of our strategic priorities. We are approving a document that creates legal grounds for the transport visa-free regime with the European Union to continue to operate. The “transport visa-free regime” is a liberalization of freight transportation that allows Ukrainian companies to transport goods to Europe without special permits. This saves money and time, and expands the access of Ukrainian goods to European markets. We have agreed with the EU that the Agreement will be extended until the end of June 2025. And now we are working to make it permanent
Recall
Ukraine and the European Commission have extended the “transport visa-free regime” for a year with the possibility of prolongation until the end of 2025.
