Ukraine has recorded a significant decline in watermelon prices - by 35% compared to last year, while in 10-15 days the supply on the market will decrease significantly, said Oleh Pendzin, a member of the Economic Discussion Club, on the air of Kyiv24, UNN reports.

"We have an extremely large offer now. The watermelon season is coming to an end, for sure. You can already see it in the weather and in the offers. Therefore, I think that those who want to enjoy it better hurry up. Because now is an extremely favorable time. In another 10-15 days, there will probably be much less watermelons on the market," said Pendzin.
He noted that there are also imported watermelons in Ukraine.
"So in this situation, we have this picture, which has led to a 35% drop in watermelon prices compared to last year," the expert said.

Prices for watermelons in Ukraine have fallen by 30% due to increased supply. The price in early August was 3-8 UAH/kg, which is 60% lower than last year.
