US Vice President J.D. Vance stated that, according to him, certain representatives of Ukrainian special services might have tried to influence electoral processes in the US and Hungary. He said this during a joint press conference with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in Budapest, UNN reports.

According to Vance, Washington is aware of such risks.
"We understand that there are certain elements within the Ukrainian system that may try to influence elections in other countries, including the US and Hungary," he noted.
The Vice President added that such things, in his opinion, are part of the complexity of state systems.
"Ukraine, like the United States, is a complex country. There are people who adhere to the principles of sovereignty, and there are those who try to interfere in electoral processes," Vance said.
He also stated that, in his assessment, certain representatives of the Ukrainian system might have acted in a political context ahead of the 2024 US elections.
At the same time, Vance emphasized that he does not believe these attempts had an impact on him or the Hungarian Prime Minister.
"I don't think Viktor Orbán allows himself to be influenced. I don't allow it either. At the same time, I am convinced that it is in the interests of Ukraine, Europe, and the US to end the war as soon as possible," he concluded.
