Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Andriy Danyk, together with representatives of the U.S. government and the Ukrainian Red Cross, visited one of the districts of Kyiv that suffered significant destruction as a result of Russian attacks. The American partners were shown the consequences of strikes on the capital's civilian infrastructure, reports UNN citing the SES.
Details
The delegation visited Lukyanivka, where they familiarized themselves with the scale of destruction caused by Russian shelling. The SES noted that these locations are clear evidence of the Russian Federation's attacks on the civilian population and civilian objects.
During the visit, Andriy Danyk told the guests about the work of Ukrainian rescuers, who are the first to arrive at the sites of strikes and work daily in conditions of increased danger.
The parties discussed support for those affected by the war
The meeting participants also discussed mechanisms for rapid response to emergencies and assistance to people who lost their homes due to Russian attacks.
The SES emphasized that the visit of the American delegation was another confirmation of Ukraine's support from the United States.
According to the service, international aid contributes to eliminating the consequences of the war and strengthening the capabilities of Ukrainian rescuers in responding to emergencies.
