On the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington, Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umerov met with Danish Defense Minister Trolls Lund Poulsen and Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Ukrainian minister's statement on Facebook.

Umerov emphasized that the key issue of the meeting was the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
We are preparing to welcome modern fighter jets to the Ukrainian skies. I am confident that these aircraft will significantly strengthen the defense of our cities against Russian missile terror and enhance the capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the sky
The parties also discussed investments in Ukraine's defense industry. Ukraine's Defense Minister emphasized that Denmark is the first NATO country to directly finance Ukrainian arms and ammunition production.

According to him, the next priority is the creation of joint ventures. The parties discussed the model of joint investment in arms production, which will help strengthen our defense capabilities.
To this end, the Ministry of Defense is creating the Defense Fund, which will become the main partner for our foreign allies in establishing joint ventures
