Ukrainian companies took part in the development of an engine for the latest fifth-generation Kaan fighter jet, which Ukraine may later become interested in.
This was announced by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar during a briefing, UNN reports .
"Ukrainian companies are involved in the development of an engine for a promising 5th generation aircraft, the Kaan fighter. Some Ukrainian companies and developers are involved in the development of its components," Bodnar said.
According to him, all details cannot be disclosed for security reasons.
This is a promising cooperation that could lead to the Armed Forces becoming interested in this aircraft. Perhaps this will be the subject of cooperation to produce new UAVs in Ukraine
