In July, Ukrainians increasingly chose new cars with petrol, diesel and hybrid engines, while the popularity of electric vehicles fell sharply. Cars with traditional engines accounted for more than 61% of the new passenger-car market. This was reported by Ukravtoprom, writes UNN.

It is noted that last year this figure was about 54%.
Models with petrol engines remain the most popular in Ukraine, accounting for 38.7% of new-car sales in July, compared with 35.1% in July 2025
The hybrid segment grew significantly — from 21.2% to 31.2%.
The share of diesel cars increased over the year from 18.7% to 22.6%.
At the same time, the electric-vehicle segment shrank from 24.7% to 7.3%.
As last year, cars equipped with LPG accounted for less than 1% of new-car sales.
The segment leaders were:
- Petrol cars – HYUNDAI Tucson;
- Hybrids – TOYOTA RAV-4;
- Diesel cars – VOLKSWAGEN Touareg;
- Electric vehicles – BYD Sea Lion 06;
- LPG cars – HYUNDAI Tucson.
