NATO said that foreign ministers of NATO member states discussed Ukraine's path to NATO membership and provided recommendations on priority reforms in Ukraine, "including fighting corruption, strengthening the rule of law and supporting human and minority rights."
Following the meetings, the NATO Secretary General noted that "last year, Ukraine won the battles for Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kherson. "This year, they continue to inflict heavy losses on Russia... The most important thing is that Ukraine has prevailed as a sovereign, independent, democratic state. This is a great achievement - a great victory," Stoltenberg said.
He emphasized that "Ukraine is closer to NATO than ever before," adding that "we will continue to support them on their path to membership."

The NATO-Ukraine Council, following the meeting stated in a statement that Ukraine reaffirmed its commitment to continuing democratic and security sector reforms. And that NATO member states provided Ukraine with recommendations on priority reforms. The Alliance will support Ukraine in implementing these reforms on its path to future NATO membership, it said.
