Ukraine calls on Latvia to continue rehabilitation program for Ukrainian military

Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratyuk thanked Latvia for its assistance in the rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers and asked to continue the program, emphasizing its success and the need for psychological assistance to children affected by the war. Latvia assured of continued medical support, including the transfer of ambulances to Ukraine.

The importance of continuing the program of and rehabilitation program for Ukrainian servicemen was discussed by Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratyuk and the newly appointed Minister of Health of Latvia Hosam Abu Meri, the newly appointed Minister of Health of Latvia. Kondratiuk appealed to the Minister of Latvia with a request to to continue this program next year, as doctors see positive results of such rehabilitation.

In addition, the Ukrainian politician noted that Ukrainians need psychological assistance and rehabilitation in Latvia, as well as Ukrainian children who suffered from the war and illegal deportation by Russia. She expressed hope that Latvians would help restore the mental health of Ukrainian children.

According to Kondratyuk, Mr. Minister assured that Latvia will continue to provide comprehensive support to Ukraine in the medical field.

At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada thanked the Government of for the decision to donate 67 ambulances to Ukrainian medical institutions, police and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She said that 30 of them have already been delivered to Ukraine and save lives every day. Ukraine and are saving lives every day.
